This book . . . will help provide insight to the reality of life in this world as an imperfect Christian who struggles daily and realistically with the battles of standing in your faith and standing in the world. Not only do you receive this insight, but you also receive true insight to the author herself. Because it is poetry, and not the type of poetry that is not filtered for mainstream perspective and acceptance, it has the ability to reach people in ways that will allow them to feel "real" and "worthy" at the same time. Although it is worth being read by all, I believe that it will particularly reach the teenagers growing into their womanhood as they transition from their latter high school years, through college and beyond. Two of my favorite poems "Smokes and Spirits" and "The Call" which both, from my perspective, relate to how the faith we tend to place in people and ourselves alone will let us down - reminding us where our faith really belongs and not to live by the standards and directions of the world, that we are not alone and every experience is meant to make us stronger and more focused on what He has for us. It's an easy read, a great read, and a must have for your personal library. It is also the perfect gift for any season. I hope Tina considers releasing an Audible version as well!Product details

Fantastic reads - amazing how real the selections are.
While I have not fnished reading the entire book, it has such meaning and depth. It allows one to think about the path they have chosen and how it has molded one into who they are today, whether good or bad. Then one would say to themselves, " Have I done all the things I wanted to do? Or, have I allowed my past to predict what my future should be? It allows you to step back and reflect on all aspects of your life. Well done my cousin. Well done. I'm so happy you kept your writtings. It was meant to be shared.
